Pumps and Pumping is ideal for
water and wastewater utility operation and maintenance workers and anyone
else interested in improving their knowledge of the principles of pump
operation and maintenance.
Workshop Description
Pumps are the heart of water and wastewater
systems. This practical 3-day workshop takes the mystery out of
hard-to-understand pump theory. Attendees will learn how pumps work, how
pumps are used, the essential parts of all pumping systems, and to
understand pump terminology. They will analyze the purpose and functions of
key pump components; learn how to recognize, troubleshoot and correct faulty
conditions; and review procedures for replacing important pump components.
They will practice reading pump curves and will review and apply principles
of hydraulics and hydrostatics to understand what makes up a pump’s total
discharge head requirement.

leaving early will result in NO CEU being awarded.

student. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payment or purchase order must be received at the time of registration. A
full refund will be made for cancellations received 10 days before the workshop.
No refund will be made for cancellations received less than 10 days before the
workshops. Substitutions made less than
ten (10) days prior to the
workshop incur a $35 processing fee.
