Workshop
Description
This workshop provides a clear
understanding of operating and maintaining wastewater treatment facilities.
The course describes design, operation and maintenance features of different
wastewater treatment processes. Participants will learn to recognize
critical components of preliminary, primary, and secondary treatment process
units along with solids handling, and disinfection. They will practice
performing and interpreting calculations for parameters such as lbs./day,
feed rate, Suspended Solids, Detention Time, Sludge Age, Velocity, MCRT, and
others. They will find out how to identify and solve common problems that
occur in treatment processes and process units. An update on wastewater
certification and professional growth requirements will be presented.

date is required. This information is used to create a unique key for each
student. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payment or purchase order must be received at the time of registration. A
full refund will be made for cancellations received 10 days before the workshop.
No refund will be made for cancellations received less than 10 days before the
workshops. Substitutions made less than
ten (10) days prior to the
workshop incur a $35 processing fee.
